Ingredients
- 3 pounds spare ribs, seasoned with salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2–3 Tbs vinegar
Directions
Brown ribs in the oven at 325˚, fat side up, for 1–1 1/2 hours. Drain off grease.
In a small skillet melt butter and sauté onion. Add tomato sauce, bay leaf, Worcestershire, dry mustard, sugar, and vinegar. Simmer for a couple minutes. Pour over ribs and cook for one more hour.
