Grammie’s Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 Tbs to 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbs onion flakes
  • 3 to 4 pounds round bone (?) pot roast
  • Meat tenderizer

Directions

Dissolve cube in hot water, add ketchup and place in roasting pan. Add tenderizer to roast and let stand 15 minutes. Sprinkle onion flakes on the roast. Cook covered at 300˚ for about 3 hours.

Mom swears up and down (well, she doesn’t really swear) it’s the roasting pan Grammie used that made her roast so great, not necessarily the recipe. Try it out and see…
