  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (10-oz) package shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 2 cups Pizza Sauce OR- 1 (14 oz) jar pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Directions

Roll dough out to a rectangle with 1/4” thickness. In a bowl, mix sausage, onion, pepper, mushrooms and package cheese. Spread sausage mixture on dough. Sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. Roll dough and mixture like a jelly roll and pinch together at end. Brush with melted butter and top with garlic salt and remaining cheese.

Bake at 350˚ for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Warm pizza sauce. Slice roll into slices and serve with sauce on top or side for dipping.
